Over the years I've been fortunate that much of my work has been able to be based on life experiences, including occasional adventures in Australia and the Far East, Canada, the States and Europe, although generally most of my creative time is spent near my home in the Chiltern Hills, walking the banks of the Thames or increasingly exploring the beautiful "creekscapes" of the south Cornish coast.

Our nautical exploits have always inspired my sailing paintings, but more typically subjects range from river scenes to local landscapes, combinations of fruit, flowers and random objects collected from local junk shops and jumble sales. As my domestic menagerie has expanded, so too has my interest in painting the local livestock so you will now find the odd chicken and cow or even more exotic species amongst my work.
